I recently subscribed to Birchbox, and decided to blog the opening of the first box here, Birchbox #1. As that went down so well, I have decided to keep this going, and share with you all the contents of my second Birchbox, April 2016.
As with the previous Birchbox, the package was £12.95 including delivery, so this subscription box isn’t breaking the bank, and for what you pay there’s some gems hidden inside! The box theme this month was Rifle Paper Co box, which is very floral! As before, the items were inside a little drawstring bag inside the box, waiting to be discovered.
If you are thinking of signing up for a Birchbox yourself, do so using my referral code and earn yourself £5 worth of points just like that! Those points can then be spent on the Birchbox website on all sorts of goodies!
Anyway, getting into what I received this month, there were no full size products this time around, but I’m not too disappointed by that as there are some real gems. The item I was most chuffed to receive this month was the Benefit BadGal Lash Mascara. The full size of this retails for £17.50, however this sample size is pretty decent, and perfect for throwing in your handbag! I love Benefit mascaras, their Roller Lash is one of my all time favourites, and I’m excited to be trying this one out.
Next up was a Cynthia Rowley Eyeliner Pencil, the full size of this retails for £11. I personally am not the biggest fan of pencil eyeliners, they are just never black enough for me, but this is black, like really black. It’s also really smooth to apply. I couldn’t imagine myself purchasing the full size of this, but it’s nice to try something different.
I also received a sample of the Balance Me Tinted Wonder Eye Cream, which is funny, because the day before my Birchbox arrived a friend of mine was asking about this brand! The full size of this retails for £20. This is supposedly a dual-purpose eye cream, not only concealing and brightening the eye area, but also hydrating and firming the eye area too. It also claims to be a great eyeshadow primer, but I haven’t tried that yet.
Next up is a sample bottle of Beaver Professional’s Hydro Nutritive Shampoo, which retails for £11.50. This is supposed to gently revive strands of hair, packed with moisturising ingredients such as avocado oil and aloe vera. I’m currently really into my Aussie hair care, as I need products which will keep the colour in, so I’m not sure what I’ll make of this, if this can’t cope with my intensely coloured hair then it’s a no go from me, but we shall see.
Finally, I received a sample bottle of this Kueshi Foot Care Cream, I do absolutely nothing with my feet, so I am intrigued by this. The full size product retails for £12 and contains ingredients such as almond oil and royal jelly to sooth, soften and moisturise whilst the tea tree oil calms and relieves. This supposedly leaves you with happy feet, and I’m not so sure that I have ever made my feet happy, so this will be new to me!
So that’s everything that I got in this months birch box, a couple of nice treats here I hope you’ll agree! As I mentioned, if you sign up to birch box please do use my referral code to sign up in order to get yourself £5 worth of points to spend online!

I have only tried it once and I did quite enjoy it! It obviously doesn’t conceal like a proper concealer would, but it feels lovely, and does a fairly good job 🙂 I’m yet to try it as a primer though xx

We don’t have any subscription boxes in Estonia but if I could I’d definitely sign up for this one. I would like to read more about your thoughts about the mascara. Although I try not to use more than two mascaras at the time, I consider myself to be a mascara junky 🙈

It’s a great little box! When I’ve acquired a few really great samples I might do a ‘Best of Birchbox’ sort of post, so far I’m enjoying the mascara though! xx
