I didn’t realise how much I wanted this book until I had it. If you know me, you know I moan about everything and everyone; If you don’t know me, you do now. This book is basically a place for me to moan and vent about the idiots in this world.

This was given to me as a christmas gift from a very lovely friend of mine, Emily, who has been known to buy me incredible gifts, she knows me so well. Also, thanks to Emily, this book smells like mince pies… I think she must have been baking them when she wrapped this or something, it’s incredible.

The title of the book reads: In My Humble Opinion. A journal to vent about why people are like that and why all the stupid things they do are so obvious to me, from not using their turn signals to believing they’re the centre of the universe to sweating the small stuff to ignoring the fact that we’re all just trying to make our way in this insanely crowded world but some of us are doing it a whole lot better than others. Quite a title, hey?

The covers internal side is super cute and offensive at the same time, with thumbs up, down, peace signs and a highlighted middle finger, you know, to amplify the hatred of the book’s intentions. Each left side page has a quote on a coloured background, which will have some relation to finding the population irritating or just generally disliking people. I have found these quotes to be highly entertaining so far, and have included some photos as a sneaky peek for your pleasure.

My personal favourite quote I have come across so far is: I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.

The left side of each page is the space dedicated to the users thoughts. There is a small date space at the top, like any normal journal, allowing you to remember the day that you were annoyed. This is then followed by the prompt: Why people are like that today. The page then obviously has the lined space for the user to answer this question. Finally, to end an entry, theres a ‘conclusion’, where the user marks the box for how they would rate humanity that day, a thumbs up, peace, thumbs down or middle finger.

The introduction to this book does explain the therapeutic benefits of writing down what annoys an individual, as an act of expression it releases tension and calms you down, so there’s a little more to it than just being a moody person!

I am overall really excited to start filling this up with my rages, humanity can’t be hated as a whole, but there are definitely some idiotic people out there who drive me a little crazy.
