It’s that time of the month, Birchbox! This month’s Birchbox is a box of ‘never ending summer’ in collaboration with Millie Macintosh, and I suppose it would help if I knew anything about who she is….

Just a quick recap of what you can expect from Birchbox, the package is £12.95 including delivery, so this subscription box doesn’t break the bank, and for what you pay there are some treasures inside! Fancy subscribing? Subscribe to Birchbox here, using my referral code to get yourself £5 worth of Birchbox points, which can be redeemed for anything in the shop!

Anyway, let’s get on with it shall we? The box this month is super pretty, probably my favourite looking box, purely because I am a big lover of all things watercolour. Let’s be honest though, we aren’t really here for the look of the box… Let us dive into this months contents, inside the little drawstring bag again!

LOC x Millie Lip Pencil

Starting well, although I do not know much of this Millie, she had a good choice in colour. I really do quite like the shade of this. It’s very summery, and I can see myself getting a lot of use out of this! This is a full size product and retails for £9. Would I spend £9 on this? No way! But I do like it. It applies quite nicely, feels sort of buttery but not sticky, it has my approval. Even if the price doesn’t. I don’t really have much else to say about this… it’s just your bog standard lip pencil really.

John Frieda 7 Day Volume Treatment

I haven’t had this for 7 days, so I have no idea if this works yet. Another reason I have no idea is this works is because it is impossible to open. It took me a good 20 minutes, if not more, to crack this open and get the pump working. Not too happy about that, especially as I was in the shower and having some real troubles. It smells alright, like fresh clean hair, as you would expect… This is another full size item and retails for £9.99. I would not personally purchase this myself in a shop, it’s just not the sort of thing I look for in hair care, as all of my hair care must be colour protection, but I suppose it’s nice to try something new.

Nails Inc Nail Polish

I love love love Nails Inc nail polishes, they’re such amazing quality, which is why they are so expensive. This little sample size nail polish is seriously adorable, it’s the cutest little bottle teamed up with an absolutely adorable shade. Winning. So many of my nail polishes are dark, blacks, browns, plums and greys, I struggle with summer colours. I received a few pastel shades for my birthday, and this adds another one. I need to get into keeping on top of my nails! FYI, the full size of this is £15, absolute madness, but they are such good quality.

Elemis Hydra-Nourish Night Cream

I don’t even really want to talk about this. I am sick of moisturiser. I have so much frickin moisturiser it’s insane, yet they keep sending more. Please Birchbox, stop with the moisturiser. Do we not have personal profiles to fill in for a reason? If my skin concern way dryness I would understand, but it’s not, please stop. Anyway, this is basically a night cream that moisturises your face. What did you expect?

Indeed Labs Moisture Boosting Mask

Another moisturising item… I didn’t realise my face needed to be quite so wet. I won’t lie, I am looking forward to trying this, just because I’ve never used a sheet mask before, but I am seriously sick of moisturising items. I just don’t need any more of them.

And that’s it. I have mixed emotions about this box. On one hand I really liked it, the lip pencil is nice, and I really like the nail polish. The hair care item is so-so, but I am getting fed up of moisturiser. The whole reason I subscribed to Birchbox was to experience new beauty products, but I feel like all I’m getting is face creams and moisturisers. I’m confused at the moment.
