So it was my birthday a while ago now, and I received many lovely gifts from many lovely people and a whole lot of money from very kind family and friends. I thought that today I would finally get around to sharing with you all the beauty items I either received or purchased for said birthday!

Just putting it out there, my birthday was the 29th of June, that’s just how much I’ve been slacking. Forgive me. These bit’s aren’t in any particular order, and I won’t have much to say about each of them, as this purely is a haul, just letting you all see what I’ve picked up. I will likely do some reviews of some of these bits at some point. If there is anything in particular you want to know more about just ask! Let’s get going, shall we?

I’m relatively inexperienced when it comes to Boujois, and by that I mean I’ve only ever tried one of their products before. I had heard amazing things about this concealer, so had to pick that up, and as they were on a 3 for 2 offer in Boots, I picked up a couple of other bits. I was intrigued by their matte liquid lipsticks, as I am about most matte liquid lipsticks, so opted for one of those in this absolutely gorgeous shade which does not have a name, it’s number 17 I believe? Finally, I picked up one of their cute little blushes, I needed an everyday natural looking blush because the ones I have are just too much, and so far I am enjoying this!

I’ve been really dubious about Sleek since trying out their ‘Matte Me’ liquid lipstick in ‘Roja Red’. Long story short, I hated it. It was drying, awful texture, impossible to get off, horrible consistency, everything about it was awful. But, recently I’ve seen more about them, as they have released a load more shades, I thought that perhaps they’ve changed the formula? Maybe I will like the new ones? Time will tell, I’ll update you on these. I also picked up one of the matching lip liners. Forgive me, for I can’t recall any of the shade names.

Would you look at that, I’ve gone back to the Lash Sensational. I couldn’t resist, I had some pennies and knew how much I loved it before, so I picked it up again. Although, after trying it out a few times I was thinking that it’s a bit too liquidy and sticks my lashes together a little too much, but I recall saying that about it last time, and remember that once it’s dried up just a tad it’s much better! That has proven to be true once again. I also picked up one of the Vivid Matte Liquid Lipsticks, because I’m a sucker for a liquid lipstick and I hadn’t tried these before.

I treated myself to some Benefit goodies! I absolutely loved the same of the new Goof Proof Brow Pencil which came with a magazine the other month, it’s been absolutely brilliant. As that sample one has reached the end of its life and I loved it so much, it felt only right to buy myself the full sized one. This is the only think I can remember my shade in, and it’s 6, which is the darkest one. I consulted the sales lady before picking my shade though, but she advised that as I have unnaturally coloured hair, 6 was my best option as it will suit any colour hair I have. I also picked myself up one of their Hello Flawleff powder foundations. My Mac powder foundation is reaching the end of its life now, and as I have mentioned a thousand times, I’m ditching Mac, so thought I would try this out as an alternative! I haven’t actually tried it yet though, so we shall see.

I could have very happily got myself a lot more Too Faced items, and I had planned on, except every frickin store I go into doesn’t have a proper Too Faced counter, and only has a little cardboard stand with nothing on it but this mascara. So I picked up this mascara! I’ve been wanting to try Better Than Sex for a while, and now I can. Again, I haven’t tried it yet, so I don’t know what the hype is about yet, but when I have tried and tested I will undoubtedly let you know.

This is my favourite item of all the items I picked up. This lipstick makes me so undeniably happy. This is the Urban Decay Vice Comfort Matte Lipstick in the shade Backtalk. I have been on the hunt for so long for something to replace my favourite Mac Lipstick. As we all know by now, I’m ditching Mac, and finally, finally, I have something to replace my beloved Mehr. This is almost identical, and I couldn’t be happier about it. Also, look at that packaging, i love everything about this.

Finally, we have yet another matte liquid lipstick, this time from Molly Cosmetics! This was a gift from my aunt, and is definitely the most daring lipstick colour I own. It’s so bright and so pink, but so good. As with the other Molly Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks, which I reviewed here, this is comfortable, long lasting and transfer proof. I love these lipsticks, and they are honestly one of the best liquid lipsticks I have ever tried. You can use my discount code ‘JADE’ for 10% off online with Molly Cosmetics by the way!

I also got myself a heap load of clothing, some DVD’s novelty fun items, a load from lush, lots of food and other little bits, but I couldn’t possibly compile that into a post. It would be way too chaotic, trust me. I think I was well and truly treated for my birthday, and I am very thankful to everyone around me who ensured I had a wonderful day. Although it was like over a month ago now…

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing what I have thrown my money away for, and let me know if there is anything you would be interested in seeing more of! I will likely do some review-ish posts on some of these products, so keep your eyes peeled! Have you tried out any of these items? What did you think of them and were they worth my birthday splurging? Let me know. As always, chat to me in the comments!
