It takes me absolutely forever to finish a product, which is why I have never posted an ‘Empties’ style post before… I never have enough empties! I’m the sort of person that has loads of products open at the same time, so never finish anything completely, because I have another one open… oops.
I feel that I should clarify that intro, I don’t have two of the exact same product open, but I work my way through a few different scents of shower gel, or have a few different foundations on the go and so on… I don’t just stick to one thing and finish it before opening another, which is really irritating for some people. I would probably save myself some money if I did things that way though…
It’s taken me probably about 5 months to collect these few empties, and 2 of them are actually the same product, so it seems fitting that I shall start with those.
This is The Body Shop’s Camomile waterproof lip & eye makeup remover. This is a two-part solution, so has to be shaken before use to mix it all up, and works like an absolute dream. I could not tell you how many of these I have been through, because they’re literally all I use. I have actually nearly finished another one, so need to stock up and buy some more of this magic liquid. This works simply by shaking it up, pouring a bit on to a cotton pad and holding it over your eye makeup (for example), just pressing it onto the eye for a minute and giving a slight wiggle removes everything. What I also love about this, is that it doesn’t leave my face feeling oily at all, I just feel fresh and clean. It’s so easy, and I couldn’t be without it.
Repurchase? Again and again and again.
Another couple of products I have managed to get through relatively recently are these two mini shower gels, again from The Body Shop. I have finished the Mango and the Moringa ones, these came in a gift set of four that I received from the ever lovely Emily for Christmas, I am half way through the other two also (Satsuma and Strawberry). I absolutely fell in love with the Moringa scented shower gel, which I am so happy about, as this isn’t something that I would have naturally been drawn to if I didn’t receive it as a gift. This has led to me buying the full size shower gel and the body sorbet, as well as gifting the mini set to others! It is such a fresh and floral scent, I just love it. The Mango one was also nice, fresh and fruity, but a bit too sweet for me. I wouldn’t mind using it again if I received it as a gift, but I’m not sure if I would buy it for myself… it’s not that I didn’t like it, I did, there are just others that I like a little bit more.
Repurchase? Moringa, yes, I already have. Mango, probably not.
I’m very upset about this one being empty. I finished this a while ago now to be honest with you, and have just been holding on to the empty pot for this post (and to hopefully eventually do the LUSH trade in recycle thing for a free face mask). This is the Don’t Look At Me Fresh Face Mask from LUSH. This thing was amazing, it worked wonders for my skin and I need to get myself another pot of this as soon as possible. My skin is having serious issues right now, and I know for a fact that this helps as it did so well before. This had a wonderful citrus scent, was a vibrant blue and doubled up as a bit of a scrub too as it had a wonderful exfoliating texture. I would encourage anyone to try this. It’s a brilliant face mask.
Repurchase? Absolutely, as soon as possible.
It’s taken me an absolute lifetime to finish this perfume, and this is only a small one! The reason for that is that I have so many, and I don’t like using my expensive ones every day. This is the DKNY Be Delicious Green Apple, and this is one of my favourite perfumes. It’s so fresh and smells incredible, I already have another one of these, again in the smaller size and will most likely use that sparingly. Another DKNY perfume I adore is the Be Delicious Dreamsicle in the peach variety, I received that for my Birthday last year and have hardly used it, because I never want it to run out!
Repurchase? I already have.
I finished this MAC Studio Fix powder a long time ago now, and have been holding on to it for unknown reasons, and for this post. This is a brilliant powder, has a wonderful finish and provides good coverage. I personally prefer powder foundations as they always provide that matte finish I’m after, but I am venturing away from MAC now. I’ve decided to go cruelty free, and obviously MAC does not fit the cruelty free category. I do actually have another of these that I have already hit pan on, but once that’s done with, I won’t be buying another. I would just throw it away, but I’m not made of money and would like to actually use it up first.
Repurchase? Once I have finished the second of these that I have, no.
Finally, my Maybelline Lash Sensational finally reached its end today (hence why it isn’t in the featured image). I loved this mascara and it served me well. This did amazing things to my lashes, and I wouldn’t hesitate on going back, but as you know, I’ve recently been loving the Seventeen Longer Lash Mascara, but would be very interesting in trying out the other varieties of the Lash Sensational, so that might be next on my mascara hit list. We shall see.
Repurchase? Most likely.
I hope you have enjoyed this little insight into my bin… that’s a bit weird isn’t it? Let me know if you like this sort of post so I know to either keep collecting my rubbish or just throw it away! Have you tried out any of these products I’ve managed to get through? What do you think of them? Let me know, and as always, chat to me in the comments!

The Body Shop makeup remover is fantastic! I like it a lot. I am currently using that too. I take my eye makeup off and then go over my face too (to make removing facial makeup easier). I haven´t finished my bottle yet but I know I will repurchase it again. The mascara (Lash Sensational) is super mascara. I used it last year and I still compare every mascara I use to that. I haven´t repurchased it because I am so curious about other products. I get easily bored with mascaras and that´s why I don´t repurchase them.
I think you should keep collecting rubbish lol. My favourite type of posts are monthly favourites and monthly empties. I love reading people´s thoughts about used up products is always interesting. They are like a mini reviews 🙂 So I would love to read more of your empties, even if they are in every five months hahaha
Great post! 🙂

I have been using the makeup remover for so long now, I have never really been without it! It’s the best I have ever used for anything, it even comes in handy when I accidentally dye my face with hair dye believe it or not!
The mascara is a good one, and I will likely buy it again, but I too like to try out different mascaras and often have a few on the go!
If I do keep collecting my rubbish it will likely be the end of the year before I have a decent enough pile for another post haha! I should really try harder to use up what I’ve got open already before opening another…
I’m glad you enjoyed this post, I suppose it is a little bit of a mini review! Thank you for your lovely comment xxx

Believe me or not but sometimes it happens with me too. Before I understand I have five mascaras open and I get overwhelmed and bit mad at myself. It feels like I am being unfair with the products if I have too many one type of products in use. I mean, they all want to be best for me and I just keep opening new bottles to use. I feel like I am cheating on them lol

hahaha, I totally get what you mean! I’m the worst when it comes to shower products, the amount of scrubs and gels, and sorbets and so on what I have open is awful, and then I feel bad for not using the others when I open yet another one!

This distracted me from work! Love this post though… glad you’re ditching animal cruelty products! Hopefully the ban on testing will help 🙂 Love the sound of that perfume! And obviously love lush… but I haven’t tried that mask! Is it the blue one? Always get tempted! Love saving up the pots too haha! xxx

Haha, sorry Molly! I am happy that I’m ditching it, MAC is the only brand I currently own which tests on animals, but when I’ve finished the few products I have, I won’t be buying from them again!
Lush mask is most certainly the blue one, it’s a miracle worker, I swear! xxx
